This year, we are working together as a city to provide 1,000 families with a meal box for Thanksgiving and Christmas in partnership with Fresh Beginnings Ministries. These meal boxes will contain a traditional holiday meal in addition to 5 other meals. This allows families that are experiencing food insecurity to celebrate the holiday with dignity and allows us to extend some love and hope during a vulnerable time.

There are 2 ways you can get involved with this amazing project this year:

1. Join us in collecting the food needed to accomplish this goal! You can do this with a group or as an individual. Out model for groups collecting food is to have them "sponsor" one item and try to collect the entire amount needed of that food. Contact Isabel: to find out what still needs to be collected and sign up for an item.

2. Volunteers are needed to pack the boxes, cook meals, and do deliveries. Box packing is a great way to get the whole family involved as children as young as 12 can help with this project. If you love being in a kitchen you can help prepare hot meals that will be delivered the day before the Holiday. No professional kitchen experience is required. Volunteers are also needed to help deliver meals. This opportunity will provide a chance to connect relationally with families, hear about their lives, and share the hope of the season with them.

Click the red sign up button and we will be in contact with you! You can play a significant role in making a difference in 1,000 families and individuals who will be cared for this holiday season through the Holiday Hunger & Hope Drive.
